I too remember the days of being gone all afternoon playing in the ditch, riding horses etc. My parents knew I was in a one mile radius and would be home by dark. No cells phones to check on me. I admire their relaxed nature. I get nervous with my boys playing on our road, only because I hope other people are paying attention when they turn the corner.
