Sarah (the mom)
For Christmas, Grandma Robyn gave Rory a Webkinz. It ended up being her best present and she has spent much time on the computer but even more time actually playing with the little pug. Since then Josh and Simeon have earned their own webkinz and it has been a great. . .for lack of a better word. . .bonding experience for them. These are their webkinz.

Budding Artist
Jt has been drawing nonstop since he was at least 3 if not earlier and has even taken a few classes. A friend even posted an entry about his art. http://rambli.blogspot.com/2006/03/78-oh-my-hack.html(Let me know if you don't want me linking to your site and will you help me figure out how to have an enclosure linked to a word cuz I am having a hard time with it :).
Rory is fairly new to drawing and is writing notes to me daily with cute little pictures.
Simeon won't pick up any kind of writing/drawing utensil.
The school district's art teachers picked a kid from each class in the district and displayed a piece of art they made this year at the Civic Center. Rory's work was chosen from her class.
We had two of her class mates in the car this week and she told them and one of them asked why his had not been chosen and her reply was "Well, you're not as good of an artist as me". The girl said "Well, I must not have been able to be picked otherwise they would have picked me". Kids and their egos!
Nonetheless, we are proud of your work Rory and we hope you enjoy doing it!
We had good fun with all the activities they provided for the festivities.

A Couple Pictures
During General Conference this weekend I organized my pictures to get them ready for putting in albums. The kid's pictures have been organized but my pictures since birth are either badly organized or are in boxes. Here are a couple I thought might be of interest to a few who read my blog. If you are in my pictures and do not want to be on my blog let me know!
Have you watched Pushing Daisies?? It will probably not be on again until the Fall but you can catch episodes on the web. I thought it was hilarious and creative but then I again I am biased. I love Kristen Chenowith and know the main character Ned, otherwise known in real life as Lee Pace. This picture is the year he moved to my junior high and this is the theater class we were in and mercilessly teased. He was teased for actually doing theater in the class full of jocks and I was teased for. . .well. . .not being well endowed. Did I use the word "well"? I mean just endowed. Good for you Lee for ignoring the teasing!!
Here is part of my family at age 13. Big and blended. I can't remember if we all lived under the same roof at the same time but most of us did. Good fun is two words for what happened there and there are a lot more! Everyone is all grown up now and all over the place. Miss ya'll!
Lastly here are some pictures of me with short hair my sophomore year of college. These were my college girls! Love ya girlies!! I loved having short hair but I can't see doing it again. I met Roger this year.

30 is Fabulous!

(This is for you Kim, who still looks the same age too)
Most people think I should take it as a complement that daily people ask in shock "Those aren't your kids, right?!!" More often than not, people do not say it in a complementary way. I read between the lines "There is no way you are mature enough to have kids. You are a baby yourself."
I know I was young getting married (20) and young starting my family (22) but I also know that a lot of people that young do not know what I know. I know who I am (a child of God), I know what I am doing here (creating a family and living the best life I can for me and my family), and I know where I am going (back to Him to live with my family forever). I have heard people who do not know these things say that they are still finding themselves at 40 and that they were stupid for marrying so young. That's not me. I am so happy living my life the way I am at any age!
